Commercial Waterwise Landscaping Rebate

Thank you for your interest in the RPU Waterwise Landscape Rebate Program.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015 the Riverside City Council approved funding in the amount of $1.2 million to provide turf removal rebates for residential and commercial customers within RPU’s service territory.  RPU intends to reopen the Waterwise Landscape Rebate Program within the next 30 to 45 days using a new, enhanced Web-based rebate application and processing tool.

Please continue to visit this page for the most up-to-date information on the program including new program guidelines, application process, and terms and conditions.  Due to overwhelming participation and our need to provide a rebate opportunity to a greater number of customers, we intend to re-open the RPU turf removal programs at a reduced incentive level on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you intend to participate in the RPU turf removal programs, please do not begin to kill or remove your existing turf grass.  Areas to be converted must have a living, maintained and irrigated turf grass lawn prior to pre-approval by RPU

Any pre-existing projects of turf removal, which were initiated and/or completed prior to the approval of an application by RPU, will be disqualified and ruled ineligible for participation in this program.  Please be advised that artificial turf projects will not be eligible for this program when it re-opens.
