Making the switch to energy-efficient lighting is one of the easiest ways for your business to cut energy costs. Our Lighting Incentives provide rebates for customers that purchase and install new, energy-efficient lighting.

Energy-Saving Tips

• Turn off lights when not in use. Leaving lights on does not extend the life of light bulbs.
• Occupancy sensors are recommended for any closed office or room, including bathrooms.
• Save 93% by using new or retrofit LED exit signs.
• Replace higher wattage HID exterior, warehouse and parking area lighting with energy-efficient lighting.

Lighting Incentives Program Guidelines

• The rebate is $.05 per kWh of the calculated energy savings for one year.
• Energy savings are calculated by the difference in lamp wattage only. Ballast factors do not qualify.
• Ballasts must be retrofitted at the same time of the lighting upgrade.
• Qualified lighting must have high-efficiency rating and is subject to approval by Riverside Public Utilities.
• Qualified lighting must be installed and in operation at the customer’s service address.
• Permanent fixtures are required to qualify under this rebate program.
• All General Program Guidelines apply.
